Branding is one of the most effective modern work search and business tools. Many know that branding is reinforced through social media or traditional marketing channels.
Content marketing is also widely used today. Blogging is a form of content creation and a widespread one.
I have published 97 articles in my blog so far. This is No. 98.
According to Wikipedia, a blog is “a discussion or informational website published on the World Wide Web consisting of discrete, often informal diary-style text entries (posts). Posts are typically displayed in reverse chronological order, so that the most recent post appears first, at the top of the web page”.
It’s 2020, so why not try something new?
Let’s start with your blog:
Are you ready for blogging?
Or are you still afraid of how others will react when they read your thoughts?
Remember that this is a whole new lifestyle that requires consistency and commitment.
Choose your niche.
Writing about anything will only confuse your audience. Keep it simple and let your content grab the attention, not juggling between different topics.
Choose a main topic or focus for your blog posts. There are thousands of ideas for your new blog, such as recruitment tips, travel, beauty, technology, food, pets, etc. Choosing a niche gives you more professionalism.
Make a blogging plan.
Once you've chosen the niche, you need to work on a plan. You should think about the frequency, type and length of your posts.
Everything will be adjusted along the way, because there is no magic recipe to guarantee your success.
Choose your platform for blogging.
Do some research and find out which websites can host your blog.
Choosing the right platform is essential for your success. Each platform has its benefits and suits only certain types of bloggers, so make sure that you fit the profile.
Don’t overthink too much the process.
Write down your ideas and let the journey begin.
If you postpone your contributions, the more doubts you will have about this new activity.
Double-Check your content before publishing.
Read your text at least twice before pressing the button.
It is possible that you may have missed some spelling or grammar errors.
I am also a blogger and I can confirm that this happens often.
Improve your blog posts.
Analyse your activity so far and look for appreciations, reviews, criticism and start working on it.
You'll always learn from your previous posts and this will lead you to create a new style that will captivate the reader even more.
You need to SEO optimize your content and titles.
You have just posted 20 articles, but there is no traffic. Why?
Your content is not ranked on popular search engines, such as Google. This means that you should use keywords that allow your content to show up.
The titles should also appear in search engines on the Internet, and that's why they need SEO optimization. Also, they need to be attention-grabbing.
Cross-Promote your blogging activity.
Make sure you mention your latest blog entries in social media and include links so readers have access to the full perspective.
You can also advertise your future posts and plans to your audience.
What I can say is that it is not an easy path, but if you continue your efforts, you will reap the rewards.
Happy blogging to all newcomers!
